ALCOVE SECRETS

The study area concerns a land footprint located in Roubaix, in the vicinity of the train station on the edge of the railway tracks. It is a new block, reclaimed from a former railway brownfield, at the crossroads between the dense city and the large open spaces around the infrastructure. This block brings together student housing, the new university campus, offices, residential units, and a hotel-restaurant.

The student housing project is in an ambivalent situation: both a screen and a signal on the side facing the tracks, it must also provide a facade to the new courtyard in the heart of the block, the “cour de la Petite Vitesse” (the Small Speed courtyard).
